🎨 Change Heading Level with Different Format at Once
In many formal documents—like academic papers, theses, official reports, policy documents, and technical manuals—authors are often required to apply different formatting styles to each heading level (e.g., different fonts, sizes, spacing, and alignment for main titles vs. subtopics).
Instead of manually formatting each heading style through Word’s complex Style interface, this button provides a smart, flexible, and highly user-controlled way to reformat headings from levels 1 to 7 — all in one place.
🧰 What This Button Does
Clicking “Change Heading’s Format” opens a powerful UserForm with 7 configurable rows — each corresponding to one heading level (from Level 1 to Level 7).
Each row gives you 9 customizable options, allowing precise and consistent formatting for every heading level in your document.
📝 UserForm Layout & Controls
Each of the 7 rows (for levels 1 to 7) contains the following controls:
1. Checkbox ("Level #")
o Enables formatting for that heading level
o When checked, the rest of the row’s controls become active
o When unchecked, row remains disabled (default state)
2. Font Name (ComboBox)
o Choose any system-installed font
o Applies to all headings of this level
3. Font Size (ComboBox)
o Choose the font size for headings at this level
4. Bold (Checkbox)
o Toggles bold styling for this level
o Caption changes from “No” (unchecked) to “Yes” (checked)
5. Spacing Before (ComboBox)
o Sets space before the heading (from the previous paragraph)
6. Spacing After (ComboBox)
o Sets space after the heading (to the next paragraph)
7. Line Spacing (ComboBox)
o Choose single, 1.5x, double, or custom line spacing
8. Indent (ComboBox)
o Sets left indent in points for the selected heading level
9. Change Level To (ComboBox)
o Converts headings from the current level to another level (optional)
✅ Additional Features
At the bottom of the form:
“First, choose the levels and their relevant changes you want.”
o Appears by default
o Disappears once any “Level #” checkbox is selected
o Do It → Applies all the selected formatting changes to headings in the document
o Clear Form → Unchecks all “Level #” boxes, disables all rows, and brings back the red label
o Exit → Closes the form without making changes
